Mrs. Cowan has been guidance counselor since 1990 for PSSD. She received her BS degree in elementary education from Murray State University in 1983 and taught second grade at Rhea School for seven years. She received her MA degree in guidance and counseling in 1990. Mrs. Cowan also met employment standard requirements for teachers of intellectually gifted students from Middle Tennessee State University. Her husband, Harry, is a purchasing agent for Tecumseh in Paris. They have three children: Harrison, Derrick and Deidre.
