WE ARE BULLDOGS!

Call for Art Work!

This is a call for artwork from students in the Paris Special School System.  We are looking for 2-D pieces showing the creativity and artistic abilities of students within our city. The artworks should be original paintings or drawings of appropriate subject matter and should be submitted in an unmatted or unframed condition. If these could be collected at each of our schools and brought to Paris Elementary school by Tuesday April 11, it would help make the task of exhibiting a large quantity of our students' work possible. These will be displayed and may be picked up at the school after the show. These works will be displayed at the annual Youth for the Arts Fundraiser, held at the Krider Performing Arts Center on April 14, 2012. There will be an Art Show and Reception starting at 6 p.m. followed by a concert featuring the Renaissance Choir and a community youth choir at 7 p.m. Anyone wishing to view the show after the event may do so during school hours April 16th-20th.   With Spring Break coming soon, it would be a good opportunity for the students to flex their creative muscles. For more information you can contact Kathy Thompson, Art Instructor for Paris Elementary school at katherine.thompson@parisssd.org
